This technique was born because of the need to merge night shots increasing the dynamic range of the single raw. The dynamic range is that range that covers from the brightest lights to the most closed shadows. The human eye has a dynamic range of approximately 30 stops, the modern cameras instead, it depends on the model and on the brand, have a dynamic range between about 5 and 15 stops in the single raw. Thanks to my photographic workflow, by changing ISO, shutter speed and aperture, you can extend the dynamic range both of highlights and shadows with no limit: the greater the number of shots, the greater the dynamic range of the final image will be. A large part of the technique takes place during post-production.
